[Racing] Jesse Melamed & Cecile Ravanel Victorious in Whistler
With over 14,000 feet of descending in one day, we already knew the Whistler EWS would be gnarly. After last nights rain, we weren’t sure if it would be a blessing or a curse, but it seemed as if perhaps the rain helped keep the dust at bay and conditions never got too sketchy. After a long day and a hard fought battle with series leader Sam Hill, the local boy Jesse Melamed took his first EWS win. Times were close with Sam just under 15 seconds back. After yet another incredible result, Sam increased his margin over the rest of the field, thus making him even more well positioned to secure the overall title this year.
In the women’s field, Cecile Ravanel took yet another win with total stage dominance. She’s looking like she just might have a perfect season…
