Hafjell: Minnaar first in timed training
When it comes to world championships, Greg Minnaar always plays his cards right. The 3-time World Champion DH and current holder of the title, set the fastest time in timed qualifying today at Hafjell, Norway. Following closely behind him were two other former World Champions, Danny Hart and Gee Atherton, while the winner of the 2014 World Cup Josh Bryceland, cruised in at in ninth position.
In women’s Rachel Atherton clocked the fastest time, followed by Manon Carpenter and Myriam Nicole. Emmeline Ragot unfortunately crashed during the timed session, hurting her hand. The French champion is waiting for the diagnosis, but almost certainly will have to watch the race as a spectator.
In Juniors Loris Vergier, the World Cup over all winner laid down the fastest time.
