The first round of the European Enduro Series has come to a close, Michal Prokop from Czech Republic was a a surprise yet clear winner.  Establishing his credentials on the first prologue stage he continued his fight taking the overall.

“It was a tough race, the transfers were hard, but I managed to keep it calm and made it to the end. I wasn’t expecting to take the win…” (Michal Prokop)

James Shirley was focused and managed 8th, a good start to the season for him.

Local rider Alessandro Bagnoli managed a 1st place in the masters category.

Steffie Testchler was on hand and managed a respectable 6th place.

First rider down the track each time, he had a clear run, and a gap of 5 mins between him and the following rider. The advantages of a chip system are clear.

Speed can be made up with little hops in the right place saving vital seconds.

Alessandro Bagnoli was worried a crash on stage 2 lost him a few places, yet he held on to the end.

The run in to the finish of stage 3 was fast and rocky, leave the fear at home.

Stage 4 was interesting as different riders chose different lines, this line required a double hop.

Some chose to go straight, loose and fast but risky.
