Yakima HoldUp EVO and BackSwing – video

Yakima BackSwing

The new BackSwing hitch-to-rack adapter acts as a swingarm and allows you to move the rack away from the tailgate or hatchback door a full 90 degrees and then locks in place.

Yakima‘s HoldUp bike rack introduced a handful of useful features to the hitch rack category. For 2018 they have taken it a step further with the Holdup EVO. Anyone who has pinched their fingers, smashed their hands, or thrown out their back using an older style rack will appreciate the thoughtful features Yakima has included in the design of the HoldUp EVO. The new tray and StrongArm hook design works with fat-tired bikes and everything else. Price is $499.

Paired with the new BackSwing hitch swingarm adapter Yakima has successfully corrected 95% of the common complaints people have with hitch-mount rack systems, and it’s compatible with most brands. Available starting May 1 in 2″ hitch size only, price will be $299. Press play to learn more.
