Suspension tuning is one of the most easily overlooked ways to gain some speed, so the crew from the Global Mountain Bike Network interviewed several of the world’s fastest racers to glean some hot tips.

Riders like Aaron Gwin, Manon Carpenter, and Mick Hannah all agreed that a balance front and rear shock is the most important thing about suspension setup.

Other riders, like Marcelo Gutierrez, suggested finding a base setting that worked in most conditions, then making adjustments depending on the track.
