If you ever needed proof that riding mountain bikes keeps you young, look nor further than one Mr. Brain Lopes. The Intense Cycles-sponsored rider not only looks quite a bit younger than his 40 years, he rides that way too. To wit, the elder statesman shreds some SoCal trail with a bunch of groms half his age proving once again that it ain’t the miles on the odometer that matter, but what you got left in the tank.
After we originally posted this video, we found out the story of how it came to be from Intense Cycles CEO Andrew Herrick.
“When we shot the video of Brian doing the road gap but we didn’t know who built the jump originally,” said Herrick. “Then, we found out and invited the kids that built it back out for a jump session with Lopes.”
We think that’s pretty cool.
