Teenager builds bicycle trailer, founds lawn mowing empire

Every day, the news is filled with stories about all the things that are wrong in this world, so let’s take a moment to appreciate a feel good news story about a kid with a dream. Daron Taylor, a 15-year-old boy from Cleveland, wanted to make a few bucks mowing lawns. He asked his parents to help him buy the equipment, then proceeded to turn a profit mowing the neighborhood lawns.
Next, Taylor wanted to start mowing outside his neighborhood, but didn’t want to push his lawnmower and carry a blower long distances. So he saved up enough money to buy a used bike and built a 2×4 trailer with instructions he found online.
As he was riding to one of gigs, a passerby stopped to ask Taylor about the setup. The ensuing Instagram post went viral and the kid has since received nearly $30,000 in donations. A portion of that money is going towards purchasing new equipment for his business, but his mother has also put a large amount into a trust.
