Ride Mammoth Mountain’s newest trail with Cam Zink
The winter months usually mean fluffy white stuff in the high country, but recent years have been less kind to snow enthusiasts. In many regions, resorts large and small have been forced to create man-made snow or shutter their doors due to poor snowfall. As a result, many ski resorts have begun to create trail networks to entice cyclists in the summer.
Others, such as Mammoth Mountain, are trying to expand their existing trail network. Their newest trail, Smooth Operator, finally opened last week after years of development. It’s a high-speed jump track with huge tables, wood features, and massive catch berms. It’s listed as a double black, but most of the jumps appear to be rollable. Hit play to preview the new track with Cam Zink as your guide.
