2015 Lights Shootout

Knog Blinder Road 3 Front

The Blinder Road 3 from Knog is a cool light. It has a functional horizontal form factor that is wide to house two LEDs. The two units can be turned on separately or work in tandem to create a distinct flashing sequence.

Output is an honest 308 Lumens out of 300 claimed. It is a great ‘to be seen’ light, but one can also ride with it at night. It has enough brightness and beam pattern to see the road with.

Construction is top-notch with awesome materials and industrial design. The mount is a built-in quick release unit that fits all bar sizes. The charging plug is built in to the unit, so no wire is needed when plugging in to a USB port.

Beam Pattern Photo

We photographed the lights in the same location setting with the same camera settings. The photos were taken in the back yard that is approximately 25 yards long. These photos feature many objects and a distinct background to analyze detail and beam pattern. Compare all Beam Patterns here »
