PNW Components Bachelor 150 dropper post first look
Dropper posts are one of the best developments in the bike industry in the last decade. But cost and reliability continue to be a factor that prevents wider acceptance of these great tools.
We tested the PNW Components Rainier post recently and it showed a lot of promise, as the upstart crew from Seattle exhibited great support and category knowledge in this competitive field. We were hopeful for a follow-up to their first post and they have indeed incorporated all that they’ve learned in this new effort, the Bachelor 150.
What is it?
The key objective was to produce a full-featured, long travel post that is fairly light but ready to tackle aggressive trail riding. Highlight features include a sealed damping cartridge enclosed in ultra-light 7050 alloy that features infinite adjust and adjustable return rate. With these features, the Bachelor 150 supports you when you need it and gets out of your way when you’re flying down the mountain.
Adjustable Air
The Bachelor 150 utilizes an air system that keeps the post light and adjustable so you can modify the return rate of the post head.
Puget Thumb Lever
Made from ultra-light 7050 alloy, the Puget Thumb Lever can be mounted on the right or left side of the handlebar and was specifically designed with ergonomics in mind.
Sealed Alloy Cartridge
Building on what they learned when designing the Rainier dropper post, the Bachelor 150 utilizes a sealed alloy cartridge that controls the damping of the post. This means a lighter bike, simple service, and consistent performance.
Internal Routing
PNW heard your requests and delivered on them. The Bachelor 150 is available as an internally routed dropper and is also available in both 30.9mm and 31.6mm diameters.
