Pimp My Ride: Norco Aurum gets royal purple treatment
With enduro bikes becoming ever more capable, you have to wonder, who needs a downhill bike? To be honest, it probably doesn’t make sense for most people. However, when the terrain gets properly steep and chunky, there’s absolutely nothing better than a proper big bike.
And if you happen to live a couple hours from a bike park like Whistler, it’s a no-brainer. That’s why Patrik Zuest, who works for FSA, decided to build this incredible Norco Aurum. The FSA offices are located just outside of Everett, Washington, which is a short jaunt from prime riding destinations such as Bellingham, Vancouver, Squamish, and of course, Whistler.
Zuest’s build includes Fox Suspension, Magura stoppers, Maxxis rubber, custom decals from STIKRD, and of course a number of FSA products. Scroll down for the close ups. Just try not to drool too much.

For these hand built wheels, Patrick laced up Hope Pro 4 Evo Hubs to 28H FSA Grid rims with DT Champion spokes and Wheel Fanatyk splined alloy nipples. Photo by Patrik Zuest

If you’ve ever tried to do purple accents on a build, you’ll appreciate how well these decals, nipples, and hubs match up. Photo by Patrik Zuest

And Mtbr would like to give a shout out to STIKRD for sending this photo set over. If you’re interested in doing custom decals, check out their website at www.stikrd.com.
