Bollé has long been known for their quality sunglasses at an affordable price. They are stepping into a new product category with the release of their innovative new helmet called “the One”. Why it called the One? Because it is actually several helmets in one. This helmet is all about customizability and options.

For the tri or TT rider/racer, their are two aero shells that snap on and off. Off, there are 31 vents exposed for ventilation. With the aero shells on, the helmet has a more sleek shape.

For the commuter, the One has a built-in LED blinky light in the rear with 3 different lighting modes. Don’t need the blinky? Then you can remove it completely and pop-in the cover.

For the cold weather rider, there is a winter liner that pops in and out and is replaceable with the summer liner.

For the rider who needs a place to stash their shades, there is a sunglass “garage” port on each side of the temples that securely hold many different styles (and brands) of shades. If your glasses have narrow temples, you can slide them straight into each port. If your glasses have wider temples, simply turn them upside down and they will fit snugly. Once in, your shades stays in place.

For the mountain biker, there is a visor that is easily removable and the visor holes have nice, clean covers.

The One helmet from Bollé meets or exceeds both European and US safety standards. Another really cool safety features is that in an accident, the helmet has a safety QR Code visible on it’s rear side that allows any person with a smartphone reading QR codes to find out exactly who to contact or what to do with a voice message previously recorder by you. This is an exclusive BOLLÉ feature to ensure you stay safe.

This innovative helmet is full of cool features and could indeed be, the ONE helmet for many riders out there. Without the aero shells, this helmet weighs 280 grams (size medium) which is not bad for such a full coverage helmet. The Standard version (no aero shells) will retail for $129.95 and includes the built-in/removable blinky light. The Premium version (with two aero shells) will retail for $169.95. Both will be available in January 2016.
