Inside look at Fox’s “budget” Fit Grip Damper
Due to the unique design, Vorsprung believes the FIT Grip Damper may be more reliable than any other damper currently produced by Fox.
Each year, Mtbr tests dozens of new bikes. Recently, some of the more value oriented models have been shipping with Fox forks equipped with the new FIT Grip Damper.
Based on our previous experience with their open bath Evolution series forks, we didn’t have high expectations. However, the new GRIP forks are impressive. In a blind back-to-back test, most riders would have trouble identifying which fork had the more expensive FIT 4 damper versus the more affordable GRIP version.
