This new glove’s raised knobs feature G-Form’s rapid-absorption technology.

Back-of-hand injuries from wide bars, stubborn brush, and nasty spills are behind protection pioneer G-Form‘s entry into the mountain bike glove market.

Offered in black and white, the Pro Trail has articulated back-of-finger padding using its proprietary Reactive Protection Technology that is also found in its popular line of body armor.

The palm features breathable perforation and smartphone friendly tips on the thumb and forefinger.

Most riders don’t realize the damage a random branch, tight tree spacing, or trail rock can do to their knuckles and fingers, explained Bill Rudell, G-Form sales and marketing manager. A bruised finger or broken knuckle are really painful and can put you out for weeks at a time.

Yep. We’ve been there. Not pleasant.

A breathable mesh backside keeps things dry and comfortable.

The glove features a single-cut palm to prevent bunching, and a raised heel for added comfort and durability. A perforated front and mesh back provide moisture wicking and breathability. A generously proportioned suede nose-and-brow wipe runs the length of the thumb.

The thumb and forefinger tips are also smart-phone friendly. “I promise you, it works,” Rudell said. A standard Velcro side closure rounds out the feature list.

Rudell acknowledged a crowded glove market but said G-Form’s reputation for comfortable and absorptive (rather than deflective) armor separates the Pro Trail.

A generous nose-wipe covers the entire thumb.

“We’re not a glove company, we’re a protection company,” he said.

Glove sizing can be tricky, but the L we usually take fit us … like a glove. Price is $50, and the Pro Trail will available starting at the end of May.
