Lowdown: EVOC Tailgate Pad

Tailgate pads are not complex devices. In fact, many people just use a moving blanket or some other rudimentary padding when loading bikes on the tailgate of a truck. But as bikes get more expensive, trips get longer, and roads get rougher, there is something to be said for using the right tool for the job. Better to find a worry-free solution that can handle all roads and weather conditions. This offering from EVOC is one of the best. Read on to find out why.

Review: EVOC Tailgate Pad

This tailgate pad does the job of protecting your bikes and truck extremely well. And it doesn’t take a lot of time to load and unload the bike as with more complex rack apparatus.

The real advantage of the EVOC pad are the molded foam guides on top of the pad. They keep the bikes in place and separate the bikes from each other on rough roads. On trucks with shallow beds, bikes with big wheels can often flop around and move when just sitting on a pad or moving blanket. These guides do a good job of keeping bikes in place.
