Jake Pantone from Enve Composites highlights the 2014 product line that includes the full carbon direct mount DH stem, mountain bar collection and mountain wheels. Also shown is the Syndicate team bike which is spec’d with Enve 26″ downhill wheels, the new 2014 carbon fiber direct mount stem, and a special 820mm wide, downhill bar done for Greg Minnaar.
The Enve direct mount full carbon downhill stem comes in a 50mm and 60mm version. There is a 20° rise with the 50mm and a 15° rise with the 60mm.
Enve has maintained top class strength and stiffness while bringing down the weight. The stem weighs in at 117g for the 60mm and 112g for the 50mm. Retailing at $325 this stem is 100% manufactured in Ogden, Utah.
The Enve mountain bar collection features some graphic and dimension changes. The Sweep, Riser and DH all share a similar graphic now and the Riser and Sweep bar are now 740mm wide (from 700mm) and the DH bar is now 800mm wide.
Enve is also showing off their mountain wheel offerings, that including the 27.5 All Mountain, 29 XC and 29-inch All Mountain Wheels. Also shown are the new 27.5 DH and the 29 inch XC mountain wheels which are great for XC and cyclocross racers.

The ENVE 29 XC rims are the lightest in our 29" mountain line and designed with the mindset of what goes down, must first go up. Stiff, light, and durable this rim’s pedigree is racing. If you are tired of your big wheels being heavy, slow, sloppy, and bent all the time; then it is high time you make the switch to a pair of ENVE 29 XC wheels and transform you big wheeled rig into a thoroughbred.
From a dark corner of the minds of those who get lost on single track comes the ENVE 29 AM. This rim was specifically designed and shaped to handle the demands of strong aggressive riders dedicated to big wheels and pushing the limits on trails where the hits, travel and tires are bigger. It starts with a wider 28mm stance to better support larger tires and minimize lateral roll, thus delivering superior stability and tracking in technical terrain. They will shock you!
When the unconventional concept of a full carbon downhill clincher was presented, the idea was met with incredulous comments of, “it will never happen.” But our thoughts were focused on achieving faster cornering speeds, direct lines, maximum durability, and responsive accelerations that were previously unachievable. We had to make it ENVE® worthy, and in 2011 when Steve Peat used the same set of race wheels all year, we figured the rims were ready. So here we are, after nearly two years on the world’s harshest courses under the world’s best riders, we are ready to offer this factory race technology to the world.
