E Thirteen Semi Slick tire first look
A purpose-built tire can result in a more playful rear end
Speed and traction
E Thirteen introduced the TSR and LG1 All-Terrain tires and riders loved them. They were tires that could actually out-corner the hallowed Maxxis Minions in some situations. But they were big, beefy and heavy. They were not always ideal in all applications. And on the rear tire usage, they could really drag a bike down on big climbs and it was not easy to throw the rear around and pivot the bike since they had so much grip. Now the introduce the E Thirteen Semi Slick tire.
The S/S has them covered with speed and strong braking traction, without sacrificing that hard-cornering bite when they really need it. Rather than just shaving all the center knobs down and offering a handicapped tire, E Thirteen thought this one through and engineered some solutions. What they came up with is a tire that doesn’t offer excuses, punishing the rider for wanting more speed.
The Semi Slick is a tire that corners, brakes, climbs and allows different options and configurations for the E Thirteen tire user. It can be used front and rear or in the rear, in concert with the TSR tire in the front.

Features
This S/S from is a true-to-size 2.35 width with good cornering and fast-rolling characteristics. It features Apex inserts on all LG1 and TRS+ models for added casing support in very rough and demanding flat-prone conditions.
The Race tires feature a layer of lighter aramid reinforcement from bead to bead for complete protection. The Plus tires have the aramid under the tread folding bead in all configurations.
Applications:
– single ply LG1 EN for enduro
– single ply for trail
– dual ply LG1 DH for downhill.
Tightly spaced, straight center knobs provide good braking bite.
