Drone films Sedona White Line ride by Aaron Chase
Earlier this summer, Aaron Chase went out to Sedona, AZ to ride the new Pivot Switchblade 135 mm travel bike. Taking photos and shooting video, he decided to take on the infamous White Line Trail. With a very narrow track and several switchback maneuvers involved, this trail is notable since there is no margin for error. Slip and fall and you plunge to your death.
One caveat is the wide angle of GoPro cameras, appears to make trails drop off to the side steeper than they are. The other thing to note is the red rock surface of Sedona has incredible grip when dry. That’s what makes this stunt possible. Regardless, it is a terrifying adventure that very, very few will attempt and survive.
In his latest recording, Chase navigates the treachery of one of the most visually daunting trails in the world — White Line in Sedona, Arizona — and records it all, by himself.
We rode the Pivot Switchblade ourselves in Moab Utah. And although we will dare take the Switchblade to Aaron Chase heights (and risks) the bike let us tackle very technical terrain slightly out of our comfort zone. It took the big hits and the front fork stayed high in its travel during technical maneuvers.
