Danny MacAskill smashes wheels to prove point
Back in June, Santa Cruz first went public with its new Reserve wheel line. At the time the high zoot carbon hoops were only available as an upgrade when buying a Santa Cruz bike. Now, Reserve wheels can be bought separately for any boost-compatible 27.5 or 29er bike.
To celebrate, Santa Cruz dropped this “smashing” video with Danny MacAskill, where he does his best to bust one of the new rims.

The Reserve wheels, which are designed, tested, and prototyped in California, will be available in 27mm and 30mm widths for 27.5 wheels, and 25mm, 27mm, and 30mm for 29ers.
All wheels are 28-spoke with three-cross lacing. Hub choices are DT Swiss 350 ($1599) or Industry Nine Torch ($1799), and the wheels come with a lifetime warranty.
