Mountain bikers are adrenaline junkies by nature. We crave the feeling of ripping a berm or drifting a flat corner, and we can all admire a fast car. In Brandon Semenuk’s latest video the freeriding star combines all of the above. Why can’t all commercials be this good?

On a personal note, we’ve put over 55,000 miles on our test Subaru Crosstrek and it has been a trusty steed, faithfully transporting us to many adventures. Throughout it all, it’s needed nothing more than an oil change, continually chugging along with an average gas mileage of 28 mpg. After work or on the weekend it has no trouble carrying four riders and four bikes to the top of our local mountains.
And while it’s not a fast car, it’s fairly zippy around town with its responsive CVT transmission. In the high mountains, the engine whines as it gasps for air, and the transmission gets fairly loud from the stress. But all in all, it is a car with balance, poise and outstanding versatility.
