Boa Technology’s Grassroots Marketing Coordinator Elissa Banker talks us through a few of the Boa products, both new and heritage, currently on display at Interbike 2014.
Banker gives us an overview of the dial system that Boa worked with Specialized to develop. This system uses mirrored dials that allow both the left and right hand to move together either forward or backward at the same time, offering on-the-fly adjustment.
New for 2014, the Five Ten Kestrel is the first downhill shoe to ever feature Boa technology. The dial on this particular shoe pulls out to loosen, then pushes back in and forward to tighten.
Also new for 2014, the IP-1 dial features a fine-tune adjustability that allows the user to tighten the dial 1mm at a time for a highly individual fit.
