2019 Mountain Bike National Championships in Winter Park
USA Cycling has announced that the 2019 Mountain Bike National Championships will be in Winter Park, Colorado, from July 23-28.
The event will bring some of the best riders in the nation to the Rocky Mountains to compete in downhill, cross-country, short-track, enduro, and dual slalom. USA Cycling is anticipating in excess of 1200 participants ranging in ages from 6 to 70 years old representing juniors, amateurs, and professionals to compete over the event’s six days.
Find out why the Winter Park area has dubbed itself Mountain Bike Capital USA.
Already the Winter Park area, and specifically Trestle Bike Park, is considered one of the best riding zones in the country. The bike park has over 40 miles of lift-serviced trails ranging from beginner level cross-country singletrack to gnarly double black diamond slopestyle terrain. In the past its played host to a Crankworx event and a stop of the Enduro World Series.
Here’s why Trestle Bike Park belongs on your riding locale bucket list.
Overall, the area has two lift-serviced bike parks, roughly 600 miles of cross-country trails, dozens of bike races and events, lots of family-friendly bike paths, and a local community that fully embraces the two-wheeled sect. And Winter Park is just 66 miles from Denver, making it fairly easy to get to.
