The Review | 100% ITRACK Gloves long-term test
Your hands are an elementary contact point to the bike and thus gloves fulfil many roles. On the one hand they should offer good grip to the bars and protect your hands in case of a crash, on the other many riders like a glove to as thin as possible to enable a more direct connection to the bike. We took a closer look at the lightweight 100 % ITRACK-gloves. The rubberised logo on the palm gives extra grip on the bars
100% offers the ITRACK-gloves in not only five colours but also in eight sizes. This is made up of five adult sizes and three for younger riders. We choose the medium size, which corresponds to a regular M size.
The gloves themselves have no Velcro closing flap but are fitted with tab, which makes taking on and off easier. On the inner/palm side the rubberised 100% logo gives an extra portion of bar grip and a secure hold on the brake levers.
The testers were especially pleased with the seam-free contact between the rider’s palms and the grips, yet no annoying folds are formed in-spite of the one-piece construction. The thin upper material and the perforated inside material ensure that your hands stay cool even on warmer days.
Overall the 100% ITRACK gloves proved to be a solid with durable construction but towards the end of the test the repeated washing took its toll. The bright green colour faded and some of the seams began to exhibit weaknesses. We’d recommend a strict hand-wash only policy to ensure long lasting fun.
Conclusion:
For the asking price of € 27,50 (adult) and € 19,90 € (kids) the 100% ITRACK-gloves offer a very good overall package. They have a great fit, feel nice on the grips and look good as well. The only downside was in the durability if frequently washed in a machine.
