The Lab: Adidas Zonyk Pro Review

In the “The Lab” we present the latest products and put them through their paces for you. Some undergo long-term tests, while we check others out only briefly. This time we reveal how the Adidas Zonyk Pro glasses fared.

The ideal year-round companion: the Adidas Zonyk Pro with Vario lenses proved extremely versatile and robust in the test.

Christoph has been using the Adidas Zonyk Pro for half a year now. He didn’t have to change the lenses once during this time. The reason for that is the smart Vario technology, which darkens the lenses in light and lightens in the dark. The change from light to dark happens pretty fast. But it takes a bit more time for them to clear up again. Although this has never turned out to be problematic in everyday bike life as the contrast of the Zonyk lenses is very pleasant and visibility remains good. In order for the glasses to sit optimally, the side pieces can be adjusted in three positions and the nose pad in two. Additional rubbers on the sides ensure a secure fit. On Christoph’s distinctive nose, the glasses sat a bit high, which created a gap by the cheeks, but he never got dust or dirt in his eyes.

Thanks to the rubberized sides, they sit very securely

Despite regular, improper handling and some drops on the floor, the glasses remain scratch-free so far. Christoph immediately detached the included foam attachment and hasn’t used it since. On rainy days, it may be that the glasses get fogged up. There were no problems on 95% of the tours done in recent months, however. Since the lenses turn almost clear in the dark, the Zonyk can also be used for night-rides. The field of vision is pleasantly large, and the frame was never disturbing. Should you ever need new lenses, they can be exchanged very easily.

To change the lenses, simply unlock the clips. Thanks to Vario lenses, we had to do this only for the photo.

Conclusion

The Adidas Zonyk Pro is a pair of glasses for all occasions. For anyone in need of tough high-quality bike glasses who doesn’t feel like constantly changing the lenses, these are great!
