Running as an alternative to biking
“I want to do more sports” one of the most common resolutions for the new year. But as soon as the Christmas holidays are over and the working routine returns not much actually happens. Bad weather, insufficient time – all favourite excuses in the fight against the couch potato tendency. For the next part of our Ride Fit series we’ve got a training method for you that can be done virtually everywhere and at every time: running.
Top 6 Exercises for effective leg strength training
Within our Ride Fit Series we’ve already given you some useful exercises to increase your core stability. Now it’s time for the next part and we will deal with getting more power to the pedals. Now it’s time to get your quads burning. Clear the ring for our Top 6 leg strength exercises presented by BMC-Factory-rider Kerstin Kögler.
Follow ENDURO Editors through their Winter Workouts
With our “Ride Fit“ series we want to present you with regular useful training tips, helping you get in shape for the next exciting season. Not only will we be bringing you expert advice from some of the sports best trainers, but we will also be going though the process ourselves. Four ENDURO mag editors will be putting their fitness to the test, sharing the highs and the lows of winter training, and you can follow their training reports and keep updated on how the workout program is progressing. Each editor has their own requirements, aims and methods; and just like you will be fitting the training around demanding jobs, it is time to introduce the participants.
Four Exercises for More Stability on the Bike
In the first part of our new “Ride Fit” series our interview with Michael Kley explained the basic building blocks of a sucessful winter training program. Now its time for the first practical part and we’ll show you five exercises which will increase your core strength and thus provide you with better control on the bike.
Mountain Biking and Yoga = more Power, Agility and Speed for Life
In today’s post as part of our off season training series, we hit on yoga, and who better than to present this topic to you than someone who’s been mountain biking for 15 years, practicing and teaching yoga for over 8 years, living the life around the world and staying healthy, happy, and injury free that entire time. We introduce Christina McGrath. Christina is a strong believer that mountain biking and yoga go hand in hand and each benefit each other. Not to mention benefiting your bottom line of being happy.
