Two years ago Shimano’s Di2 XTR hit the market with a wave of excitement, promising super accurate electronic shifting and rugged reliability. The cycling world jumped up in excitement, then they saw the price and quietly sat down again! For elite racers and those with big wallets XTR was perfect, but it would be the affordable XT that would have mass market appeal. We have been riding the new Shimano XT Di2 M8050 to see if it measures up.

Whilst testing Intense’s new ACV+ we have also been riding this new Intense Primer 29 alongside it. But out of the two models, this was the bike that had got certain folks a little hot under the collar!

There are just a handful of bikes with a history that can compete with the Specialized Stumpjumper: over the past few years it’s undergone revision after revision, wheel sizes have come and gone, and the Stumpjumper has had them all. Right now it’s on the market in 27.5″, 29″ and 27.5+. We’ve put the burlier tire model on test to see how it rides in its latest format.
