But it’s also true that a carbon rim can easily shatter if things go wrong on the trail, and can often feel too stiff or even uncomfortable to ride on. And that’s exactly what Santa Cruz wanted to change when developing their new Reserve-wheels. These wheels are supposed to present the perfect compromise, the best of the two worlds at a “reasonable” price.
