Today’s elevation gain of 3,300 metres was the biggest of the entire race, with the fourth-stage Grächen–Grächen circuit covering a distance of 88 kilometres. Team BiXS STÖCKLI finished ahead of the pack today but CENTURION VAUDE were still able to hold on to the overall lead. In the women’s event, Adelheid Morath and Sally Bigham from the Topeak Ergon Racing Team maintained a healthy lead.

After yesterday’s Leukerbad circuit, the PERSKINDOL SWISS EPIC mountain bike race moved on today. The third stage covered 88 kilometres from Leukerbad to Grächen with an elevation gain of 3,100 metres. Team BiXS STÖCKLI were the day’s winners once again with Lukas Buchli and Mathias Flückiger. However, the leader’s jersey has changed hands and will be worn by Team CENTURION VAUDE tomorrow. In the women’s event, Adelheid Morath and Sally Bigham, Topeak Ergon Racing Team, continue to build their lead.

Following yesterday’s longest daily stage, which stretched from Verbier to Leukerbad, today was the day for PERSKINDOL SWISS EPIC to embark on the second, somewhat-more-moderate-yet-no-less-thrilling daily stage: a 63-kilometre-long circuit beginning and ending in Leukerbad, containing an elevation gain of 3,000 metres.

2016 sees a brand new National MTB Enduro Series hit trails around the UK. The venues are yet to be announced but there will be seven rounds which will take place all over the UK including Scotland, Wales and England to make it a ‘proper’ national series.
