Today’s elevation gain of 3,333 metres was the biggest of the entire race, with the fourth-stage Grächen–Grächen circuit covering a distance of 74 kilometres. Daniel Geismayr and Jochen Käss of team CENTURION VAUDE won the day, putting their team in the overall lead. In the women’s event, Annika Langvad and Ariane Kleinhans from the team Specialized II maintained a healthy lead.

After yesterday’s Leukerbad circuit, the Perskindol Swiss Epic mountain bike race moved on today. The third stage covered 61 kilometres from Leukerbad to Grächen with an elevation gain of 3,000 metres. Team Stöckli-BiXS were the day’s winners once again with Lukas Buchli and Mathias Flückiger. In the women’s event, Annika Langvad and Ariane Kleinhans from the team Specialized II maintained a healthy lead.

Following yesterday’s longest daily stage, which stretched from Verbier to Leukerbad, today was the day for PERSKINDOL SWISS EPIC to embark on the second, somewhat-more-moderate-yet-no-less-thrilling daily stage: a 69-kilometre-long circuit beginning and ending in Leukerbad, containing an elevation gain of 2,750 metres.

After yesterday’s prologue in Verbier, today the PERSKINDOL SWISS EPIC finally kicked off with the first real day’s stage of the program.
