Pro Bike Check: World Champ Tracy Moseley’s Trek Remedy 9.9
Fresh off the back of her 3rd Enduro world title (and a dip in the sea!) we stopped Tracy and had a good look over the factory Trek Remedy she has dominated this season on.
Factory Visit | Nicolai Bikes Head Quarters in the Harz Mountains
I had the Nicolai Ion 16 for about 48 hours before I rode it. Mostly I just looked at it. Every time I walked into my bike room and saw the stealthy, murdered-out, flat-black bike, I noticed another little detail. The bike looks simple at first but closer inspection reveals care, creativity, artistry, design and engineering. I’m not talking about “bling” but rather like “easter-eggs” hidden in video games and computer programs that you only discover by pressing the secret button sequence. You find the details in the bike if you just stare at it for a while.
Pro Bike Check: Comparing the Gehrig’s sisters Ibis Mojos
Twin sisters Anita and Carolin Gehrig both ride for the Ibis Cycles Enduro Race Team, their Ibis Mojos may at first glance look the same but if you look closer at the details there are some subtle differences. We had the opportunity to check over both their bikes a few hours before they took to the stages for the last time in 2015.
Pro Bike Check: Thomas Lapeyrie’s Team SUNN Kern LT
Thomas Lapeyrie has been representing the SUNN Enduro Team alongside Kilian Bron and has been consistently in the top 20 throughout the season with a highlight of 5th place in Samoens and rounding the season off with an 18th place in Finale. The bike he has been piloting on the EWS stages this year is a SUNN Kern and we got the opportunity to have an up close and personal look at his race ready bike before it took to the stages on race day.
Pro Bike Check: James Shirley’s Factory Radon Slide 160
James Shirley rides for the Radon Factory Enduro Team and has been focusing on a European based racing campaign this year, racing at the likes of the EES, Specialized SRAM Series, Trans Savoie and selected rounds of EWS. Despite a front puncture on the first stage James battled back up to finish in 57th place, we caught up with James to check out his factory Radon Slide 160.
