Pro Bike Check: Cecile Ravanel’s Commencal Meta AM V4
Cecile Ravanel has had an electric start to 2016, leaving the opening rounds of the EWS in South America with both victories and then following them up by claiming a second on the slopes of Wicklow Mountain in Ireland. Cecile is instantly recognisable out on track, not only from her attacking style but the bright and punchy Commencal Meta she pilots around the world’s toughest race stages. Since it is one of the hottest bikes on the circuit and is currently leading the overall, we thought it’d be rude not to have a close up look at the bike born in the heart of Andorra.
EWS Ireland – The Rider’s Thoughts After Practice
After two glorious days practicing under some Spring sunshine in Ireland, the riders prepare for battle across the seven stages straddling the side of Wicklow mountain. The stages have been getting drier and faster throughout the weekend with the riders having to adapt to the changing conditions, who will come out on top come Sunday evening? We had a chat with a few riders to find out how they’re feeling coming into race day.
Pro Bike Check: Iago Garay’s Santa Cruz Bronson
Fresh off the back of a 13th place in Argentina at the second round of the Enduro World Series, Spanish racer Iago Garay looks to be in a strong position for the remainder of the season. With the Irish EWS looming large we’ve taken a close up look at Iago’s team Santa Cruz Bronson which he will compete the upcoming Emerald Enduro on.
Long Road To Recovery: Lewis Buchanan Injury Update #1
Having started his enduro career on an amazing high out in South America, Lewis Buchanan was sitting in 9th overall after the opening two rounds… After that high came a plummeting low. A crash whilst training at home left him with a compound fracture of his left ulna. (a bone in the wrist)
Pro Bike Check: Lewis Buchanan’s BMC Trailfox
It’s fair to say that Lewis Buchanan has already left his mark on enduro racing despite 2016 being his inaugural season in the sport. Some would say it was a risky move for BMC to pick up Lewis having little experience in the discipline, but that risk is paying off handsomely with the young Scot turning plenty of heads and already ruffling the feathers of some household names. As Lewis lives just down the road from our UK office in the Tweed Valley, we thought it would be rude not to go catch up with Lew and have a closer look at the BMC Trailfox that he has taken to a 13th and 7th place in the first two rounds of the Enduro World Series, keep an eye out for an interview over the coming weeks!
