From a quick glance, the teammates’ SB6cs look identical, but it isn’t until you look closer than you pick up on the details …

Richie Rude’s Yeti SB6cCody Kelley’s Yeti SB6c
Suspension Setup
Richie runs the FOX Float X2 …… whilst Cody prefers the feel of the Float X.
Both riders run a 170 mm FOX 36 up front, the SB6c packs 150 mm travel on the rear.
Cody’s Setup
“I run it a bit stiff for my weight, I typically have the rear sag in a bit more than the fork so I run a pretty stiff fork so the bike just settles in a little rear heavy, but that’s how I like it.”
Richie’s Setup
“My suspension setup has a pretty equal feeling front and rear, it’s probably a little softer on the rear but I’ve been running it a little stiffer this weekend (Ireland EWS) as I want it to feel a little more progressive, there’s nothing too big out there, but you still want to be able to pump everything.”
Cockpit Setup
Handlebar wise, Richie and Cody both use Renthal Fatbars at a width of 740 mm but with different rises: Cody likes a 40 mm rise whereas Richie prefers a slightly lower 30 mm.
No spacers under the Renthal Apex stem for Richie.Cody prefers a slightly taller front end, running a spacer stack of 15 mm.
Richie runs the powerful Shimano Saint stoppers.Whilst Cody prefers the feel of the XTR levers on Saint calipers.
Both riders run the beefy 4 piston Saint calipers.
Richie uses a 125 mm dropper, Cody’s is on a 150 mm.The little touches … Richie’s signature Ergon world champ saddle.
Drivetrain Setup
Full Shimano XTR 1x drive trains put the power down.Cody uses 175 mm cranks with a Shimano 34T chainring, whilst Richie is on 170 mm cranks with a One Up Components 34T ring.
Wheel and Tyre Setup
MAXXIS rubber all round, the new Aggressor on the back…… and Minion DHF on the front. Richie uses double down casings on both tyres whilst Cody picks the lighter EVO casing on the front.
For wheels Richie uses DT SWISS EX471 with a 25 mm inner width which is slightly stronger when compared to the XM481 wheels of Cody which have a 30 mm inner width.
