Excellent bibshort for mud, wet and cold
Inspired by the cyclo-cross and road racers of Europe and North America, Castelli’s Claudio Bibshorts have been designed to meet the demands for the coldest and nastiest weather conditions in this unique cycle sport.
The Claudio Bibshorts appear to be a traditional pair of bibshorts, however, they’re cut from our proprietary Nanoflex fabric used in some of our best winter tights and warmers. You might have noticed that the Cervèlo TestTeam has been using the NanoFlex warmers on wet and cold days across the plateaux of Flanders.
The super soft and stretchy Nanoflex fabric is exceptionally warm and cozy. But when it starts to get muddy, the real magic kicks in. Thanks to the nanotechnology treatment, drops of water or mud bead on the surface of the fabric and run off while keeping you warm so you can save energy for the final run.
Rain or shine, you’ll stay warm and comfortable. Pair the Claudio Bibshorts with the Nanoflex leg- or knee-warmers making it perfect for a wider range of temperatures and nasty weather conditions.
The KISS3 seatpad features an anatomic shape to conform to your body and ultimately increase your comfort. Unlike most seat pads, the KISS3 pad features a continuously variable thickness, eliminating the odd sensation of thick here, thin there, that you may have seen before with a dual-density pad. The brushed microfiber cover cuts down on chafing and features a bacteriostatic treatment to reduce the likelihood of saddle sores.
Traditional silicone leg grippers keep the shorts in place at the bottom, while mesh bib straps help transport moisture to the jersey and make sure the waist stays where it’s meant to be.
