YouTube Deems Certain Fishing Content Inappropriate for Kids

Age restrictions placed on a popular spearfisherman’s YouTube videos send him on a quest to get to the bottom of what he did wrong.

What is and is not appropriate content? That really is the question that YouTuber Aquatic Apes is trying to answer after finding that his videos are being placed under an age-restriction filter.

The fisherman, with over 1.7 million subscribers, dives deep into what catches YouTube’s eye as being too saucy for its platform. In this case, ethically sourcing fish and eating it as sushi violated YouTube’s “community guidelines.”

He takes much-deserved jabs at “appropriate” content and compares what he does to some of the alternative styles of fishing.

His humorous take on the hypocrisy of censorship in social media is worth your time.
