Snow Peak’s Living Lodge: So Long, Canvas Tents?
Snow Peak expands on its group camping collection with the Living Lodge, a cabin-like tent that’s both backcountry-capable and down to glamp.
Snow Peak calls the Living Lodge a shelter/tent hybrid, owing to its flexible, modular design. The brand edges in on the canvas tent market by providing campers with a versatile structure that’s spacious, lightweight, and easy to reconfigure.
Layout options range from an open-sided beach canopy to a fully enclosed two-room shelter or a single-room tent and covered patio. Structurally, the Living Lodge comprises an enclosed “inner tent” and outer vestibule, joined by a continuous roof.
Living Lodge Options and Specs
Snow Peak outfits the Living Lodge’s external shell in a durable 300D polyester ox fabric treated with heavy-duty PU coating, water repellent, and UV Cut sun protection. Large mesh panel windows span the tent’s two longest sides.
The inner tent is constructed from a 75D polyester ox, also treated with water repellent. And the footprint features a PU-coated 210D polyester ox.
The Living Lodge is available in two sizes — ‘M’ accommodates three to five occupants; ‘L’ accommodates five to seven. Both models stand at an exterior height of 7.9 feet and an interior height of 6.9 feet.
