Polaris Adventures Goes Worldwide After Hitting ‘One Million Rides’

The experiential wing of the outdoor motorsports giant recently opened a location in Mexico. New Zealand is next for Polaris Adventures.

Renting an adventure vehicle is a great way to get some thrills without breaking the bank. That’s the whole idea behind Polaris Adventures, the rental and destination-ride wing of powersports company Polaris Inc. Amid the growing popularity of outdoor adventures, Polaris Adventures recently announced that it’s going international.

Polaris Adventures Outfitter locations are select spots where customers can rent adventure vehicles and participate in guided activities. Outfitters are independently owned small businesses that partner with Polaris to provide the kind of experiences only local guides can deliver.

And until now, those nearly 200 locations were limited to the U.S.

New Locations in Baja and New Zealand

The recent opening of the Outfitter location on the Baja peninsula changed all that, and the company isn’t stopping there. A New Zealand location will open late this month, it said.

“Adventure tourism is one of the fastest-growing segments within the tourism industry, people want experiences, they want to be active and see the outdoors,” Vic Koelsch, Senior Vice President and Chief Digital and Information Officer of Polaris, announced in a press release.

“We see current riders, as well as people who have never tried powersports riding with us. It comes down to being able to explore the outdoors in a whole new way. This broad appeal has led to our growth as well as fuels our continued momentum,” he went on.

Polaris Adventures: One Million Rides

The expansion coincides with a hallmark achievement for Polaris Adventures. The company claims it facilitated one million rides through its rental and Outfitter programs since 2017.

“Reaching one million rides is a testament to the fun our customers discover while riding, as well as the strength of our Outfitter network to facilitate these experiences daily at a local level,” Koelsch said.

The Minnesota-based company also offers a membership program as part of its services.
