Kai Jones Hucks a Huge ‘Wallride’: Vertical Skiing, Big Air

What’s a wallride? Well, as long as you know what a wall is, you’re well on your way to grasping the concept.

In skiing — and virtually every other outdoor sport I can think of — the trick is to make gravity work for you.

Big-mountain skiing mostly concerns speed and control on steep snow. At certain terrain pitches, though, you’re playing a zero-sum game. If the feature you’re “riding” is just a 75-foot vertical rock wall, your only ticket to the bottom is via terminal velocity.

Here, Kai Jones buys that ticket and takes that (mortifying) ride.
