Free Gear Fridays: Win a Deuter Trekking Package for Two!
Here at GearJunkie, we test a lot of gear. And we’re fortunate to test new, cutting-edge products. Now, we want to give you the chance to win some gear too.
This week, two lucky winners will a prize package from Deuter. One winner will get the brand’s Aircontact Core 45+10 SL and Aircontact Core 50+10 backpacks. And the other package will include the Aircontact Core 60+10 SL and Aircontact Core 65+10 backpacks.
More on the Prizes
Win one of two prize packages from Deuter, each of which includes two backpacks from the brand’s Aircontact Core trekking line. Deuter says this new line focuses on ventilation, comfort, and cushioning.
Specific to the Aircontact Core line is Deuter’s Aircontact back system that includes Air Spacer mesh and a large ventilation panel for optimal air movement.
Highlights of these packs include a walking pole-holder, an elastic inner compartment for dirty clothing or a 3L water reservoir, a separate bottom compartment with a removable base, and a goggle-holder on the shoulder strap.
When it comes to fit, each pack has ergonomic ActiveFit shoulder straps, adjustable sternum straps, a Y-shaped frame, mobile hip fins, and a trapezoid-shaped lumbar pad to help distribute weight and create comfort for all shapes and sizes.
Present in two out of four of these giveaway backpacks, Deuter built its “SL” (Slim Line) fit to be women’s-specific. According to the brand, the SL packs have a “somewhat shorter back length, more conical hip belts, and narrower distance between shoulder straps.”
With sustainability in mind, Deuter uses a DWR (durable water-repellent) coating in its packs that is free of PFCs (perfluorinated and polyfluorinated chemicals), typically used for rain protection and durability.
