Crankworx Veteran Stars in Heartwarming ‘Riding With Dad’ Bike Film

Like father, like son. For this rider, mountain biking is more than a sport or a profession — it’s a family affair.

There may be no better way for a cyclist to celebrate Father’s Day than a bike ride with multiple generations of family. That’s what Greg Watts — professional mountain biker — has been up to.

“Greg Watts has learned a thing or two from his dad when it comes to being competitive. Watts’ father, Jeff, was a professional motocross racer in his day, earning a factory ride before injury halted his career,” wrote Ride Concepts, the film producers.

Watch as Greg Watts rides a technical, black diamond trail with his dad in tow. Later, he prepares to introduce his daughters to the family sport.

“I would say I’m a tame version of him,” says Watts of his father. “It’s cool to look up to him and admire him still to this day. It was just another day, riding with my dad.”

If you’ve got 5 minutes, this is absolutely a film worth watching.

Filmed on the Mr. Toad’s trail in South Lake Tahoe, Nevada; June 2021.
