‘Anglers Driving Change’ Series Explores Conservation, Human Connection

The latest film series from BUFF and Fly Lords takes a look at three anglers’ connection to the water and ultimately, how that connection brings them back to themselves.

At a time where polarities and differences seem to define our culture, stories that take a step back and connect the human back to place tap into something better. And a collaboration from BUFF and Fly Lords does just that in these three films. That’s not to say that hard conversations aren’t to be had. Each film focuses on the human condition, with angling as a backdrop.

The first film with Katie Canh delves into how her cancer diagnosis led her to Casting For Recovery, an organization that connects women with breast cancer to fly fishing.

The second film delves into Dr. Rene Henery’s life work and mission to protect waterways and the fish that inhabit them.

And the third focuses on the origin story of Captains for Clean Water and how Chris Wittman and Daniel Andrews dropped everything for Florida’s coastlines.

If you’re in need of inspiration, a reminder of the collective human good, or just a damn good story, dig into this series. You won’t be disappointed.
