The New Rocky Mountain Element

Following the trend of their new line started with the Altitude and continued with the Instinct, today Rocky Mountain presents their new Element which closes out the circle of the trail segment with a short excursion option to be combined with the Instinct, in the vacant position from the elimination from Thunderbolt range.

The Element uses 29-inch wheels, except the XS size which is fitted with 27.5″ wheels. The rear travel is 120mm and is combined with 130mm of fork travel.

The frame is made of either carbon fiber with Rocky Mountain’s Smoothwall technology or hydroformed aluminum alloy.

The Smoothlink suspension system, based on a four bar with Horst pivot, is managed by shock absorbers with a tune optimized for each size, so as to offer the same feeling regardless of the size and therefore the weight of the rider.

Like the other models in the current range, the Element offers what are now traditional Rocky Mountain features such as the Ride-4 for adjusting geometry, internal and fully guided cable routing and rubber frame protectors.

In addition, the frame of the Element is able to accommodate two large bottles on all sizes, except the XS which can accommodate only one bottle but of 710ml.

Rocky Mountain provides for the Element 4 set-ups with a carbon fiber frame and 3 set-ups with an aluminum alloy frame, in addition to the possibility of purchasing the carbon frame only.

Two colors are available, both for the carbon and alloy versions, dark gray with black details or red with orange details.
