Onza Updates the Aquila for Enduro and DH
Onza is making some revisions to the Aquila, their aggressive tire aimed at enduro and DH with all-round characteristics, therefore broadly suitable for different types of terrain and conditions…
The knobs of the outer rows are more aggressive with 20% more height than the previous ones. The blocks of the central rows have larger dimensions to better attack the ground when braking and are equipped with more accentuated ramps to improve rolling speed. The new Aquila sees increased volume, going from the original size of 2.4″ to 2.5″. The rubber compound is the Soft Compound 50 that Onza specs on their gravity tires, improved for greater grip, with 50a central knobs and 45a side knobs. The carcass is available both in the light TRC version, with a single 60tpi ply and anti-puncture reinforcement, as well as the more robust GRC version, with dual 120tpi ply and double anti-puncture reinforcement. As is customary for the tires of the Onza range, each size is available both in the black version, with full rubber coverage of the sides, and in the skinwall version, with visible canvas.
