[EES Punta Ala] Pro Rider Max Schuman Bike Check
[ad3]
With the European Enduro Series round #1 fading into memory we still have a few last bike checks to drop from the weekend past, this one is from Max Schuman is a professional Enduro rider from Germany sponsored by Carver Bikes.
What is interesting about his large size Carver 27.5″ IBC is that it was designed by a group of readers on an internet forum. The geometry and style of the bike was decided by group discussion and ideas. What came out is a fairly aggressive Enduro bike.
Max uses a 1×11 XO1 SRAM drive system, also note the approach to attaching the rear drop outs.
E Thirteen top guide and XX1 crankset and front ring T34 Xsync ring.
Max has been working on some prototype parts, and here we have a carbon rocker link which joins the Rockshox Vivid air shock to the frame.
Max uses a low stack and 25 mm riser bar.
Rockshox Reverb on the top.
The left side of the bar is his seat post remote and Raceline Magura brake levers.
His Ergon grips actually add 20mm to the width of the bar as they have a built in extension.
Up front is his Suntour fork with a fairly standard tune.
A Magic Mary upfront with a ProCore system being used.
Max has his brake reach set like this.
The distinctive yellow Race Line MT7 brake caliper.
Only a 180mm disc up front.
Shimano DX pedals.
