Cannondale’s New Scalpel HT
Today Cannondale introduced an XC race hardtail that they’ve put quite a lot of thought into. The new frame is intended for use with either a 100mm or 110mm travel fork and tips the scales at just 895 grams.
Cannondale is pushing the envelope from a geometry standpoint with a 66.5º head angle. They are also paying close attention to handling across the fit spectrum by working in chainstays which are specific to each individual frame size.
Henrique Avancini narrates a story about the purest form of racing and what it means to ride. We follow two up-and-coming riders, Ruby Ryan and Tydeman Newman, around their journey towards a race in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.
One interesting feature that caught our eye was the cable stops, which can be swapped between full housing, for reliability, or interrupted housing for saving the most amount of weight possible.
