[Bike Check] Tom VanSteenbergen’s Rampage Trek Session

Since Tom VanSteenbergen quite likely has the best looking bike at Red Bull Rampage, we took a bit of time to deliver the details on it and snap some pics, in hopes of doing it justice. The custom paint job needs to be seen up close and person to do it justice…To get the cracked look, there was a bit of paint stripper and two colors in the process.

Definitely Rampage ready.
Full Shimano Saint drivetrain – chainguide and all. 7 Speed block out back.
The new Marzocchi/Fox Bomber/36 set up really, really stiff.
Fox Float DHX2 with lots of spacers and heavy damping.
Ride or Die…And some rad gold adjusters of course.
Just look at the paint. This photo still does it no justice.
Deity Handlebar/Stem with ODI Elite Pro grips.
The custom Trek Session’s use an offset spacer underneath the lower headset cups and are meant to take a 27.5 fork, despite the 26″ wheels. Bongtrager G5 Tires seem to be the weapon of choice in the desert.
Deity saddle/post/clamp.
Custom spaced Shimano rear hub so the rear wheel has no dish.

Deity T-Mac pedals
