It can hold about 12 cans of beer with ice, and is perfectly shaped to hold cans, standard bottles, or even bomber-sized bottles. They also did not try to hit a price target as you’ll find out below.

Mtbr’s Take

This is an easy one to review. It’s the perfect product, except for the price. Everything about it is top-notch, from ergonomics to looks and functionality. It gets better over time, too, and it stays remarkably clean through many adventures while maintaining its shape and structure. The zipper opens a bit easier after initial break-in and the lid stays open without having to hold down, though the zipper does have to be fully open.

Yeti Tundra Cooler

Another product in Yeti’s massive arsenal is the larger Yeti Tundra cooler.

The available options are cool, too, as they add to the functionality of the Hopper. Everything fits and works well together. Plus, there’s a staggering array of options in the Yeti product line.

Something unexpected is that every time we take it out, complete strangers from all walks of life start talking to us, asking, “How do you like your cooler?” or “I have one of those, too.” Indeed, the brand has developed a cult-like following.

Of course the price is way beyond the $15 Styrofoam coolers at your local grocery store. It performs very well but it is hard to justify a $280 cash outlay. But for those with the means and who want the best and most prestigious product in the category, Yeti is the choice. It’s kind of like the Chris King headset of old or ENVE wheels. For that reason we have to isolate the review of the product from the value to give better insight.
