Video: ‘Unreal’ world record front flip meets canyon gap backflip

Last year, Kelly McGarry shocked us with his backflip above the treacherous canyon gap of the Red Bull Rampage. Now, Tom van Steenbergen stomps what may be the biggest front flip in mountain bike history. Watch the video from Tom’s Sony Action Cam, shot during production the upcoming bike movie, “UNREAL”.

Tom releases the bike (below) and it rolls out on its own as he celebrates one of the biggest jumps in mountain biking.

And for comparison, here is Kelly McGarry’s now legendary 72 foot gap jump backflip performed at last year’s Red Bull Rampage. Their ‘time in the air’ seems fairly similar.
