Video: Inno INH330 lightweight hitch rack
The Mtbr test team has used a lot hitch racks recently. Most are sturdy but heavy beasts (think 50 pounds or more) that are best left on the vehicle. Noting this, Japan-based Inno came up with a different solution. Its racks are specially designed for smaller cars and tight parking spaces.
Their latest offering is the INH330, a rack that folds up compactly and is easy to portage with its comparatively wispy 28-pound weight. It’s also sturdy and holds bikes of all tire sizes securely by the downtube. Price is $399.
However, it is not for everyone, as it doesn’t fold up vertically, stopping at about 45 degrees on most vehicles. And the 74-pound weight limit for two bikes means two eMTBS or DH rigs may max out capacity.
But with its lightweight aluminum construction and built-in carrying handle, it’s easy to install or remove thanks to the INNOvative Quick Mount system. The INH330 quickly installs on 2” or 1 1/4” receiver hitches with an accessible locking torque knob. With the folding wheel trays, the rack can be conveniently removed and stored either in the back of your vehicle or in a corner of your garage. Press play to learn more.

Platform style hitch bike racks tend to be heavy, so although loading and unloading bikes from one is much easier than with a hanging style rack, installing and removing the rack can be a back breaker.
The Inno INH330 rack is constructed of 6053 aluminum and weighs only 28 pounds, so you get the benefit of easier loading and unloading of bikes with the bonus of easy installation and removal of the rack itself.
