Giant downhiller and 2011 world champ Danny Hart took us along for a ride on his practice run from Scottland’s famed Fort William downhill course which was used as a stop on the British Downhill Series last weekend and will host a World Cup stop in early June. The recording shows the course’s signature features, from the famed Motorway section, to the slab rocks, narrow bridges and woods section that punctuate the fast, rocky descent.
Unfortunately, Hart succumbed to one of the track’s many rocks during his finals run, suffering a rear flat and finishing some 10 seconds off the pace of winner Gee Atherton of Team GT. Madison Saracen’s Matthew Simmonds crossed the line second fastest while GT’s Marc Beaumont came third. In the women’s division Lapierre’s Emeline Ragot took the win with Madison Saracen’s Manon Carpenter second and Evil’s Morgane Charre third.
