“Above the Wall is a video where balance and vertigo are the keywords. Aurélien Fontenoy, the VTT Trial vice-champion in 2012 and 2013 performs amongst the ruins of Mount Jalla and in the woods of the Bastille overlooking Grenoble!”

Another Masterpiece by Quentin Chaumy

As a mountain bike rider, I have gained an appreciation for many things. I now look at light, soil, trees, water differently. Sometimes, I rush up to the neighborhood hills and I am without a bike. I am armed with my eyes and a camera. My goal is to remember and capture what I see when the light, the landscape and the forest interact. It has given me a new perspective about the area where I live and the places I visit.

Such insight is present here with Quentin Chaumy who is only twenty years young. Check out his work as I’m sure we’ll see much more from him.

Quentin Chaumy shares with Mtbr a little bit about himself and his video “Belledonne – Through the eyes of Nicolas Luque”.

“I am Quentin Chaumy, 20 years old, I study art and I am a freelance vidéographer/graphist…I live in France, Lyon, and the video Belledonne was shot next to my hometown “Allevard”.

I shot with Nicolas because he is an amazing rider, he has no fear of pushing his limits for the camera! I also introduce many landscapes and timelapses in my video, because since I was born I am very inspired by the Impressionists, especially by Claude Monet, and impression, Sunrise (Impression, soleil levant), I love the light, in each of my creations, I try to represent the colors and the environment I see before my eyes…In Belledonne, I shot the mountains where I was born throughout the seasons, winter and summer give me some amazing lights and I just captured it and made a video!”
